The HANDS-BACK-TRAINER utilizes a cuff around the lead wrist that is attached to tubing which connects to a stable attachment point at shoulder height, directly behind the hitter. This device will mostly be used indoors with the Batter's Wall with 5 d-rings attachment point, but can be used by attaching tubing to nets or fence in a batting cage facility.
HANDS-BACK-TRAINER allows the batter to complete his stride and slot his elbow while assisting the hitter in keeping the “hands back” throughout these phases of the swing.
The HANDS-BACK-TRAINER is not to be utilized with the full-swing. The batter should use the HANDS-BACK-TRAINER with a “live-take” mentality – either working against a live pitcher, actively taking pitches or mentally simulating the pitch and performing a “live-take”.
It is important to note that the batter strides on every pitch, regardless if the batter swings or not. This means that, as part of the stride, he will load his weight onto the back leg, and shift that weight against the front leg on every pitch. Immediately after the Back-Leg begins to abduct to “press” or “shift” that weight against the front leg, the Back-Elbow will begin to “slot”.
When utilizing the HANDS-BACK-TRAINER, the batter is to focus on perfecting the actions of the Back-Leg to control the footwork/stride and perfect the “loading” and “slotting” of the Back-Elbow while allowing the HANDS-BACK-TRAINER to assist in keeping the hands back throughout these phases of the swing.
Keeping the hands back throughout these phases of the swing is vital to the proper sequencing of the Kinetic Chain. The larger body segments must be allowed to do their work before involvement of the hands. This will maximize energy creation and transfer to the bat-head. Keeping the hands back throughout these phases also enhances “plate-management” by allowing the batter more time to assess the speed and location of the pitch before committing his hands to swing.

The Throw Trainer is the same device as the Hands Back Trainer except that the resistance band and padded wrist strap is attached to the throwing hand and is used for simulating an out of the glove pattern for the beginning phase of an infielder or catcher's throw.

The Throw Trainer will help the infielder or catcher create muscle memory and perfect this universal high level back arm loading pattern used by quarterbacks, infielders and catchers.
